Image of MPS' MP6543C 3-Phase BLDC Motor DriverMPS' MP6543C is a 3-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor driver with three integrated half-bridges and consisting of six N-channel power MOSFETs, six pre-drivers, two gate driver power supplies, and three current-sense amps. Each half-bridge includes an enable (EN) input and a pulse-width modulation (PWM) input. The MP6543C can achieve a continuous output current (IOUT) of up to 1.2 A across the input voltage (VIN) range of 3 V to 22 V.

The internal current-sense circuit does not require a low-ohmic shunt resistor. Each half-bridge has an independent ground pin (LSSA, LSSB, and LSSC) that allows the current to be measured via an external shunt resistor, enabling the MP6543C suitable for different application requirements.

An internal charge pump generates the gate driver supply voltage for the high-side MOSFETs (HS-FETs). A trickle-charge circuit maintains a sufficient gate driver voltage for a 100% duty cycle operation.
