Automotive Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors
KEMET’s automotive capacitors are available in four terminal types: axial, radial crown, snap-in, and V-chip
KEMET offers a full range of aluminum electrolytic capacitors for automotive applications in various terminal configurations and sizes. Depending on the application, KEMET's product portfolio contains products that will operate well in the different areas of the automobile.
In high-power and low-voltage areas, KEMET offers axial and radial crown capacitors that can be mounted vertically, are vibration proof and can withstand very high ripple currents. A hybrid version of the axial will be available soon.
For high-voltage applications such as an OBC (on-board charger), KEMET's ALA series snap-in capacitors are a good fit. They can withstand vibration up to 20 G and range up to 600 V. KEMET also offers automotive-grade SMD capacitors and solid polymer SMD and hybrid SMD capacitors are coming soon.
