KEMET, a YAGEO Company, manufactures a polypropylene metalized film capacitor with a cylindrical, aluminum can-type design filled with soft vegetable oil-based and polyurethane resin. It uses high-current screw terminals, a metal deck with self-extinguishing UL 94 V-0 plastic insulators, and an overpressure safety device. The C44P-T capacitor has a long lifetime of up to 220,000 hours with a rated voltage range of 550 VAC to 850 VAC for typical applications, including commutation, power factor correction, and AC harmonic filtering. It is suitable for renewable energy, traction, and industrial drives.
