Image of Analog Devices' Photometric Front End The ADPD103, ADPD105, and ADPD107, from ADI, are highly efficient photometric front ends with integrated 14-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and 20-bit burst accumulators that work in concert with flexible light emitting diode (LED) drivers. It is designed to stimulate an LED and measure the corresponding optical return signal. The data output and functional configuration occur over a 1.8 V I²C interface. The control circuitry includes flexible LED signaling and synchronous detection.

Multifunction photometric front end
Fully integrated analog front end (AFE), analog-to-digital converter (ADC), light emitting diode (LED) drivers, and timing core
Three 8 mA to 370 mA LED drivers
Optical inputs: 1 to 8
Three 8 mA to 250 mA LED drivers
20-bit burst accumulator enabling 20-bits per sample period

ADPD105 and ADPD107 Features

Multifunction photometric front end
Fully integrated analog front end (AFE), analog-to-digital converter (ADC), light emitting diode (LED) drivers, and timing core
Three 8 mA to 370 mA LED drivers
Optical inputs: 2
SPI, I²C interface, and 1.8 V analog/digital core
Three 8 mA to 250 mA LED drivers
20-bit burst accumulator enabling 20-bits per sample period
Flexible sampling frequency ranging from 0.122 Hz to 3.820 kHz
